Welcome Privateer! You have been requested for, by the English monarch, to sail to The Bahamas and go undercover as an infamous pirate. You will be embarking on this journey on your own to scope out the situation, identify why the Bahamas is being used as the base and report back to us! Don't fret, you will have lots of help along the way. I hope you're ready for a journey of a life time because your adventure as an undercover pirate will change your life forever! If you complete this mission successfully you will be granted a scurvy medal of honor. I wish you all the best Privateer, and beware of those nasty pirates!

Task

The Bahamas provided the perfect playground for pirates in the 17th and 18th century. Many of the most feared and renowned names in the history of piracy used the Bahamas during their raids. Pirates used Nassau as their base during this period, and the settlement was burned from retaliation by Spanish forces several times during this period of piracy. This fascinating webquest journey will enlighten you on the state of the Bahamas during the piracy era previous to the coming of Woodes Rogers.

Mission 1 : Name and describe the infamous Pirates of the Bahamas. It is important to learn about the other pirates while undercover so that we will be able to find their weaknesses and expel them from the Bahamas.

Mission 2 : Identify why the pirates use Nassau as their base. If we know why the pirates use Nassau as their base we could get rid of these reasons and they will no longer want to reside in The Bahamas.

Mission 3 : State the condition of the Bahamas. Before we are able to send Woodes Rogers we must know what the state of the Bahamas is and remedy the situation
