Task
In this webquest, you'll be creating a set of pan pipes with straws and then learning about the science and music behind this instrument. Watch the following video to see what you'll be doing:
IMPORTANT: YOU ONLY NEED 6 STRAWS, NOT 8!!!!!! (Some of the straws can have two lengths. Just DON'T use the spacers as the video suggests.)

Once you have created your pipe, you can learn about the science behind the pipes' creation...go to the next module.
Process
Here is some good info about how these pipes work, scientifically. You can also try to put a small piece of play-doh in the bottom of a few and see what that does to the sound!
