  1. The group will be divided into 2 groups.
  2. A video about scenarios inside a technology room will be provided per group.
  3. From the video given, each group will be assigned to perform a play about a technological classroom. How it function, the materials present, its advantages and disadvanatges.
  4. The group will then pick a representative to play a round of “Rock, Paper and Scissors” to determine on who will act out a scene wherein:
  1. The educational technology classroom is equipped with the resources needed.
  2. The educational technology classroom lacks the resources.
  1. The losing team will be the first to perform.
  2. The class will only be given 4 minutes to prepare.

This activity helps students understand the importance of considering the diverse needs of learners when setting up an educational technology room and promotes responsibility as they take on the role of ensuring that everyone has the resources they need to learn effectively.

Instructions:

  1. The class will be divided into groups of 3 – 5 - 10 students each.
  2. Each group is given a large poster board representing the walls of an educational technology room.
  3. The group should brainstorm ideas for setting up the room. You can write each idea on a sticky note/scratch paper. (e.g., place desks in a U – shape for better collaboration, install a smart board in the front).
  4. Group members take turns placing their sticky notes on the poster board to create a collaborative room design or make-do a paper mache to visualize a material present inside an educational technology room. (e.g. chairs, tiltable tables. computers. desk. etc.)
  5. After all the groups have completed their designs, each group presents their design to the class, explaining how it meets the needs of diverse learners and promotes collaboration and creativity. The class can ask questions and offer suggestions for improvement.

As a final step, the groups can combine the best ideas from all the designs to create a master plan for an educational technology room. This activity promotes collaboration and innovation as students work together to come up with creative solutions.
