Conclusion
The Constitution was ratified or approved in 1788. George Washington became the first President in 1789. The people of the United States wanted George Washington to run a third term, but he refused, letting his vice president, John Adams, become president. Later, this was made as a law; you can't serve more than two terms in a row. The Bill of Rights was added to the Constitution in 1791. The Bill of Rights was a section of 10 laws added to the Constitution.
