Introduction

Good Afternoon my grade 4 students for today’s lesson we will be focusing on Vertebrates and Invertebrates animals. Vertebrate animals have a skeletal structure with a spinal column or backbone while invertebrates do not have a backbone. Vertebrate animals can be classified into five main groups:

  •  reptiles
  •  birds 
  • mammals.

In contrast, Invertebrates can be classified as:

  • worms
  • spiders
  •  crabs
  •  lobster
  •  clams 
  • squids.

Task

The students will:

1.      Watch and listen attentively to the video, so that they can respond to the questions asked.

2.      Indicate clear understanding by providing their view and reasoning when responding to questions.
