Time Capsule

Introduction

You have watched an extract of the movie « Knowing » in which children are asked to draw what they think the future will look like.

Indeed, over the years lots of things change and we forget how it was before; for example, not so long ago students wrote with quills.

Everyday objects that we use demonstrate who we are and define the society we live in. Creating a time capsule makes you choose what legacy you want to leave to the future.

This webquest will guide and help you build your own time capsule.

Task

With your partner:

1. Choose one object :(you can choose one from the videos you watched but you can choose another object)

- find a picture of it

- you will have to describe what your item is and what it is used for

2. you will imagine how it will evolve in the future :

- find a picture of it or create one (you can draw it by hand or by using paint for example)

you will have to describe it

3. Present your object:

You will have to present your object and its evolution to the class; the presentation should last approximately 3 minutes.

(the picture of it has to be big enough so you can put in on an usb key in order to project it)
