The Color Wheel

Introduction

You will be able to identify what the color wheel is, the different color schemes, and color relationships. 

After you will be able to design and create your own Motif Color Wheel. 

Task

You will work with a partner to review the different links provided  to be able to answer the questions:

What is a color wheel?

What are the primary, secondary, analagous, tertiary, complementary and neutral colors?

What is monochromatic and value?

We will then create our own Motif Color Wheel using your knowledge of color theory.  You will also have to take a color wheel quiz.

Process

Visit the websites below to learn about the different color schemes and how the colors relate to one another?  Review how to mix to make the different colors?  While viewing the sites answer complete the Color wheel worksheet.

Evaluation

Students will be grades on how well they worked together at the computer, that they were on task, completed color wheel worksheet, painted their own motif color wheel correctly and the color wheel quiz.
