Earth's Serious Issues

Task
Your Mission!
Raise awareness of one of Earths serious issues. You are competeing to win a $1 miilion grant to donate to a foundation that is working to find solutions to your Earth issue.
1. Choose one of the serious issues that Earth is facing. You are going to be competing agains the other groups for a $1 million grant to donate to a foundation that works to solve your Earth issue!
2. In your groups you will research your issue and collect information about your issue.
3. You will start planning what you each will say and do in your video and make any props you want to include in your video. (pictures, backdrop, signs, outfits, etc.)
3. Your group will create a video. In your video you will discuss facts about your issue chosen and explain why you think you should recieve the $1 million grant to help researchers find a solution to your Earth issue.
4. All students will get to vote for whichever group they think convienced them the most to receive the $1 million grant.

Evaluation
Students will be evaluated with the use of a rubric on their teamwork skills: cooperating with others, listening to others in the group, stays on task, accountable for their work, Respectful to others, and uses inside voices.
Students will also be evaluated with the use of a rubric on their academic skills: Including accurate and apporiate facts, think of a solution to their Earth issue, creativiy when making the video, and completed the assignment on time.
