Explore the Southeast Region of the United States

Introduction

Welcome!  As a member of the United States Exploration Team, you must study the Southeast region of the United States to learn more about its geographical features, climate, economy, people & culture.

You will have to move quickly in order to keep on track, so you need to stay focused! Remember...this is uncharted territory, so be careful and keep your eyes and ears open. You never know when something exciting is going to pop up! You have an explorer's journal in which to record your findings. A good explorer never forgets to record his/her findings! It is very important that you read the directions in the journal as you do not have to complete every section. Good luck, and happy trails!

Task

1. You will be assigned a research partner with whom to work.

2. Both you and your partner must record all information learned as you work.

3. Read through the directions for each section. You may get to choose which idea to research and visit only one website, or you may need to visit all websites in the section and record your findings.

4. Be respectful of your partner- problem solve with, listen to, learn with, and have fun with him/her!
