Introduction
¡Hola y bienvenidos a mi sitio de webquest!
We are going to begin working on our first part of our longer, second semester summative project for Spanish 2. Next semester you will be working in a small group of 4 students to create an ABC Book for elementary students. In this first part, you will utilize a webquest as a tool to help you begin exploring topics of interest to you. You will choose one Spanish speaking country from a list of 20 (you cannot use Mexico - let's think outside of the box!)
Task
You have been offered a contract to write a children's ABC book by a major publisher in Mexico. In order to get the contract and book advance, the publisher has requested that you submit a mini version of the ABC book. Your goal is to select one Spanish speaking country (except for Mexico) and pick 3 letters of your choice to write the mini version of the ABC book. The publisher has stated that their goal is to introduce culture, information, history, and such from different Spanish speaking countries to Mexico. This book will be distributed widely throughout elementary schools.
Your task is to write a paragraph for each letter about something that represents the culture and also interests you. This can be an artistic, musician, food, drink (non-alcoholic), dress, history, presidents, flowers, animals, etc. This entire assingment is to be written in Spanish. Remember, you are writing for elementary students who are just beginning to read, so its important to remain in the present and past verb tenses.
The Mexican publisher has also asked you to prepare a presentation to give to its board to persuade them to select your ABC book for mass distribution in Mexico.
Process
