Introduction

The Olympic Games is a major international event featuring summer and winter sports, in which thousands of athletes participate in a variety of competitions. The Olympic Games have come to be regarded as the world’s foremost sports competition where more than 200 nations participate.

In this project, you will learn a lot of interesting information about the history of the Olympic Games, games included into it and great sporstsmen. You are supposed  to be active, creative and curious in doing this project. Surf the Net and gather as much information as possible about  the Olympic Games.

Task

You can work  in groups or individually.

This web-quest is based on the State Educational Standard of Secondary Education, the Common European Framework of Reference and designed for 8 grade students. This web-quest aims to develop all four skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) through a variety of stimulating tasks, searching for information in the Internet. It also encourages students to become independent, active and creative learners.
