Introduction
Did you ever notice that professionals sound so different on oboe and bassoon? Maybe it is becuase they are using something called vibrato.
In this webquest, we are going to explore what vibrato is and some techniques to work on vibrato in small groups.

Task
To start learning about vibrato, you and your group will explore what vibrato is and how you can do it. The goal at the end of this webquest is that your group have an idea of vibrato sounds like and how you can do it.

Process
1. Begin by listening to a few examples below. Listen to each example and discuss with your group what you hear from the bassoon and oboe. Write down anything on the worksheet provided at the bottom of this page. Do the same for each example.
2. After listening to the examples, follow the links to some websites that talk about how to create vibrato on your instrument.
3. Once you are done reading each article, answer the questions on the worksheet provided.
4.After finishing the worksheet, present your answers to the rest of the class in discussion time.
