Introduction
Hello Friends of Planet Earth!
My name is Weezle the Wizard and I am a wizard from outerspace! I am going on a journey to planet Earth and I need your help. I will be visiting for a few days and would like to learn more about the different weather patterns you may experience in your area.

Task
Your task is to gather information about different weather patterns and log them into your journal for Weezle the Wizard to read. Weezle would like to know if you could help him understand the current weather patterns here at school. Do you think you can help Weezle with this task?

Process
You will be divided into four teams with four students in each team. Each student will get a job to observe the weather patterns over the next two weeks.
The jobs include:
temperature tracker
the wind watcher
the cloud keeper
the rain recorder
You may use sentences and drawings to display your findings on the weather pattern you were designed.
The Temperature Tracker: Visit these websites to learn more about temperature! Using this website and a thermometer, record your findings over the next two weeks. You will record your findings on the journal entry worksheet.

Using this worksheet that will be handed out, you will record your observations and draw a picture identifying the weather pattern you found. Be sure to include the date and your job topic for each entry!

After two weeks of observing the weather patterns with your team, all of the students with the same jobs will meet us and discuss their findings. For example, all of the Cloud Keepers, Rain Recorders, Wind Watchers and Temperature Trackers from each group will meet together to compare results.
