WET TO DRY DRESSINGS

Introduction

Physician's often order Wet to Dry Dressing changes for debridement of tissues in open wounds. There are specific supplies that are needed to perform this type of dressing change.

Task

Your task is to learn the procedure for a wet-to-dry dressing change.

You will create a "Wet-To-Dry Dressing" Guide for Medical Assistants.

Your guide (2 pages) should include a description of what a "wet-to-dry dressing is and why it is used, the supplies needed to complete the procedure, and the steps in the procedure.

Remember:

--Use graphics/photos to illustrate your guide 

--Proof read for completeness and proper spelling/grammar
