WW1 Webquest!!!!

Introduction

Today we are learning about WW1! This is a homework Webquest. Go through the tabs of the website from left to right (Starting from Introduction, and then going down to Task, and then to Process, and then Evaluation, and then ending at Conclusion).

Task

In this webquest you will search through the websites and look for the reasons that WW1 was started, answer these questions under Process. You will explore terms, concepts, battles, and warfare in order to better understand WW1. This is a homework Webquest. You will also write a letter at home as a soldier in the war under Evaluation.

USING THE WEBSITES ABOVE:

1: Find the definitions for Militarism, Imperialism, and Nationalism. 

2: Explain how each word creates tensions in Europe.

3. How did alliances effect the start, and outcome of the war?

4. What Happened to the Ottoman Empire by the end of the war? Why did this happen?

5. Explain the Domino Effect in your own words! 

6. How did the war end?

7. In your own words, summarize the reason for the start of WW1, and why it ended.

8. Name some technologies that have advanced because of WW1.

9. In your own words, define propoganda, and then explain how and why propoganda was used during WW1.

 

Evaluation

Soldiers at War

After answering the questions, write a one page letter as if you were a soldier in the trenches.
