What Happened on September 11?

Introduction

September 11, 2001 is a day Americans will never forget. Hundreds of lives were lost in one of the greatest tragedies in American history. 



Today we will learn more about the events of that day and reflect on the changes in our nation since those events.

Task

You will explore the given websites to find the answers to the following questions. Each section will have its own link where you can locate the information needed to answer the questions or define the terms.

Conclusion

Reflection:

Students will explore creditable websites to find reliable information. They will practice creating compound and complex sentences when answering questions. For the exit ticket, students can be asked to write a paragraph to answer the prompt or construct an expository essay to answer a prompt of their choice.

-George's grandfather, Prescott Bush, was a U.S. Senator.

-He was nearly assassinated when a man threw a grenade at him in 2005. Fortunately, the grenade did not explode.
