Introduction
Welcome to the International Student Organization for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games!
We want to know more about each of our sports that participate in the Winter Olympics and need your help to do a little bit of digging.
The Winter Olympic Games are an international multi-sport event, which are held every four years. Medals are awarded in each event, with gold medals for first place, silver for second and bronze for third. This quest will help you explore the connections between math and the Winter Olympics.
Task
Pick your partner! ONLY PARTNERS - NO MORE THAN 2 WORKING TOGETHER (you can still work by yourself)
Pick your sport. Once you have decided on your winter Olympic sport than write it on the board with your name(s) next to it. Only one pair can do each sport so once a sport has been claimed it is off the table.
To engage yourself in this quest, you will need to explore basic facts about the Winter Olympics and math connections to this international event. These tasks will require a computer, access to the web, paper and pencil.
