*I was very fascinated by the world history story after hearing an actual interview on CNN. I have found much thoughtful information throughout my research so far to share with my students. I was amazed that I had never heard of this part of the world history to share with my students and I will encourage them to learn about world history.
Commend core Curriculum Standard 3.5.o1 Identify major events, people, and World History.

3.5.spi.3 read and interpret facts from a historical passage at level 2: 3.5.tpi.7 assemble historical information using a variety of sources (e.g., book, video, and computer).
**The best advice I can give before doing this lesson is to soak up everything you can from the Global History website. The more research I read about these courageous the more I want to read!
