The Hunger Games

Introduction

The Hunger Games by Susan Collins tells the struggle as Katniss and Peeta compete in the Hunger Games. Katniss volunteers to take the place of Prim, her little sister.  Katniss and Peeta eventually win the Hunger Games.

Task

You have 3 assignments.

The first assignment is to answer in a paragraph if you would have volunteered for the Hunger Games, and tell why or why not.

The second assignment is to pick any of the 12 districts and what the tributes were for the 74th Hunger Games, and what that district produces, for example District 13 produces nuclear weapons. Only two people can have the same district.

The third assignment is, with a partner who picked the same district, create a presentation on the tributes from that district. Include how they died (or if they didn't), their training score, and the interview before the Games.

Process

For the first assignment, you have to be truthful about it. You don't need any resurces for this.

You can use Wikipedia or other sources to find out more about what your district produces and its Tributes for both the second assignment and the third assignment.

Conclusion

In conclusion, The Hunger Games is a great book to read. Katniss's method for winning was to pretend to be in love with Peeta, something that kept her alive. It eventually hurts Peeta, because he didn't know that she was pretending. The Capitol becomes angry with Katniss because she and Peeta put poisonous berries in their mouths so that nobody would win, but Caesar Flickerman stopped them and declared that they were both winners.

Good luck, and as Effie Trinket would say,
