CLASSIFICATION OF ADVERBS

 According to Meaning

Adverbs may indicate time, place, manner, degree, frequency, affirmation,or negation.

1. Adverbs of time answer the question when.

Example: My mother wakes up everyday.

 

2. Adverbs of place answer the question where.

Example: My friends came here this morning. 

 

3. Adverbs of manner answer the question how.

Example: The child answer timidly.

 

4. Adverbs of frequency answer the question how often.

Example: We should attend church services every Sunday.

 

5. Adverb of degree answer the question how much or how little.

Example: My parents are very supportive of my endeavors.

 

6. Adverbs of affirmation and negation tell whether a given fact is, was, will be,or has been true or false.

Example: 

a. No, I wasn't in the vicinity during the accident.

b. Yes, we will defeat evil with goodness.

Conclusion

Adverbs modify verbs, adjectives and another adverbs.

According to the use the simple adverb is an adverb use as a modifier while the adverbs uses how, when, where, and why are interrogative adverbs. 

The after, until, before, where, while, since and as are conjunctive adverb because it does the work of an adverb and a conjunction. This are used in complex sentences.
