Task
First,, you need to choose a country. Go to www.africaguide.com/afmap to have a look at the variety this fascinating continent presents. Once you have chosen a particular country, go on to the next step.
Second, go to to find a to Google Maps to find a Topographical Map of your country. Use the map to discover the following...
Major waterways or bodies of water which might influence commerce or communication.
Any Mountain Ranges, Valleys, or Plateaus. How might these effect agriculture and trade in that country?
What Natural resources does your country have? Does this make it a rich or a poor country? Why?
What kind of dwellings to the people build for themselves and their families? Find a picture.
Are their any famous work of architecture in your country? If so, provide a picture.
Make a slide to illustrate each question.
Third, you will need a basic knowledge of the history of that country. Go to Google, and enter History+Timeline+(name of your country) to find out.

What peoples or major tribes populate the country? Choose one and find out...
What language(s) they speak.
What is the main religion of these people? What does it believe?
What are some unique foods of this country? Include a recipe for one dish.
What is unique about their art and music? Include link to one piece of music or a picture of one famous artwork from this country.

Finally, you will need to discover what issues are affecting the country today. Go to the US Embassy at this country through www.usembassy.gov and look into this. As your last slide, write a letter to the US Ambassador to your country, suggesting a well-researched solution to this problem.
