Audio-Lingual method by Mylene Jane Cabaral

Introduction

     The Audio-Lingual method of teaching  had its origins during World War II when it became known as the Army Method.  It is also called the Aural oral approach. It is based on the structural view of  language and the behaviorist theory of language learning.

               

Audio-Lingual Method is a method that is used to make students able to listen and understand the speech of others. 

           "Language Learning is a Habit Formation".

Task

We will now use Audio-Lingual Method for our activities.

Process

The 1st activity is about Listening attentively to me in which I let you listen to a song. Familiarize the song, if possible. Observe the correct pronunciation of the words and the proper intonation of each word or phrase. It is for you to know the correct pronunciation and how to address proper intonation.

The 2nd activity is called Memorize me(can you?). In this activity you are to memorized the poem that was given to you. This will help you to retain some knowledge and keep you in the tract of remembering the words in the poem.

 The 3rd activity given to you was all about reading the quotes and I will let you repeat the quotes all over again. This activity will help you sharpening your mind and to be more alert in repeating the quotes.
