Introduction

Learner profile: 

-Age: 16-17 / highschool

-Level: Intermediate / B1

-Assigned time: Approximately 70 minutes

Task

The lesson is about 70 minutes. 

Warm up- 10 minutes

Task 1- 15 minutes

Task 2 -15 minutes

Task 3- 30 minutes

In warm up, students will first watch a quick video about past simple tense in order to review and refresh their knowledge on the topic. After it is done, teacher will ask the students if they know who Nikola Tesla is and if they know any of his inventions. 

Task 1, students will watch the video "Nikola Tesla and his incredible inventions" to learn about the life and inventions of Nikola Tesla and they will answer questions related to this video and Nikola Tesla.

Task 2, Students will watch the video of "Top 10 Greatest Inventions by Nikola Tesla" and then they will discuss between each other about the inventions and which ones they liked most with the reasons.

Task 3 ,students will create a poster about their favorite invention of Nikola Tesla with the reasons being explained on how these inventions could be used during those times and how they could be improved. Then they will present it to the class.

To review past simple tense and irregular verbs watch the video below.

Teacher asks the students: Do you know who Nikola Tesla is and do you know any of his inventions?

Students will discuss and share their opinions on this.
 

Then students will watch the video "Nikola Tesla and his incredible inventions" and take notes to learn about the life and inventions of Nikola Tesla and they will answer questions related to this video and Nikola Tesla.

3. Who was Tesla's source of inventiveness?

4. What did Nikola Tesla became addicted to?

5.Where did he start working as a Chief Electrician?

6. Who was the founder of Westinghouse Electric Company?

8. At which hotels did Nikola Tesla live?

9. What was the reason for Nikola Tesla to never marry someone?

10. When did Nikola Tesla die?

Conclusion
