Introduction
Bicycling
Today's modern bike is one of ease and comfort with things you may take for granted like suspension, derailers, variable gearing, rear brakes, freewheeling, and lots of other features. But the bike was not always the smooth riding, fast paced machine it is today. The first bicycle (sometimes called a Draisisenne or a dandy horse) didn’t even have pedals! Instead you propelled yourself with your feet. This proceeder of the bicycle was invented by Baron Carl Von Drais of Germany And was revealed to the public of Germany in 1817 and Paris in 1818.The first pedal powered bicycle was supposedly made by Kirkpatrick MacMillan, a Scottish blacksmith, who allegedly caused a traffic accident with a bicycle of ingenious design in 1839.The next big jump in bicycle design was in the early 1860's when two French men Pierre Michaux and Pierre Lallement put a non-geared set of pedals on a enlarged front wheel which soon became known as the velocipede. This was the first bike to ever become mass produced. In 1869 the wire spokes for the wheels where invented .All of this made for a to heavy, hard to ride bicycle. Some people tried to solve this by shortening the front wheel and moving the seat back but there was still the problem of trying to steer and power the bicycle via the front wheel. This was solved by JK Starley, JH Lawson, and Shergold when they introduced the chain drive to power the rear wheel. This is practically the modern bike with a few small upgrades over the centuries which I won’t mention here.
The part of bicycling I will focus on is biking a certain distance in a certain time.

Process
Biking 20 Kilometers in one hour
How to:
To be able to bike a long distance in one hour requires a fair amount of stamina and speed; unless you are a professional biker you probably won’t have these. Start small, don’t bike 20k every day for a week and exhaust yourself. Instead begin by biking half the distance in twice the time. This may seem a like you’re starting too small but just try it. It feels a lot harder than you would think. Do this once or twice and then begin to cut time off your run. Do 10k in an hour and three quarters. Then in an hour and a half and so on .Once you can bike 10k in less than an hour begin to increase your distance so that you are still biking for less than an hour but for more distance. Don’t only do this; although it is a good way to increase speed it isn’t perfect. Start your week with a long hard 20k plus bike ride, this will really help to build your stamina. Then focus a one hour ride on just getting as far as you possibly can in your allotted time. After you have done both of these intensive rides you can follow the schedule I set out for you. Also don't bike every single day because this will only lead to exhaustion. Instead bike every other day and take a break in-between your biking days.
Evaluation
What it should look like
You should begin your week with a bike ride that’s as long as you can push yourself. Then take a day off and workout your biceps ( do chin ups they work). Then you will do a ride that you go as far as possible in an hour. Again after a hard ride you should take a day off and play spike ball with friends. Then the day after when you’re a nice shade of bright red (from sun burn of course) do a bike ride that is challenging but fun. After that the weekend is free for you to decide how hard your ride is, take one with the kids or your spouse and just enjoy the feel of biking.

Conclusion
In conclusion biking is such a wonderful way to free yourself from the bonds of your office chair or your school desk ,just do it more.
