Introduction
The 2008 Summer Olympics were in Bejing, China. These olympics were very successful leaving the US with 36 gold medals, 38 silver medals and 36 bronze medals. The US ended up winning first in the overall and won 110 medals in all. The 2008 Olympic games were a very successful and important competition that will go down in US history forever.

Task
1) For the first task, you will need to pick an Olympic gold medalist from the 2008 Olympics and write a one paragraph essay explaining how this person won their medal and how long the trained for this one moment.
2) For the second task, you will need to complete the word search on the 2008 Olympic games.
3) Finaly, you will need to draw a picture of your favorite athlete in the 2008 Olympics and write a brief sentence explaining why they are your favorite.

Process
- You will need to chose an Olympic gold medalist and write a one-paragrph essay explaining how they won their medal and how much effort and training they put into their sport to get to this level. (Due 5/15/14)
- You will need to have a minimum of 6 sentences, and you need to include lots of detail.You will also need to complete this word search. (Due 5/20/14)

- You will now draw a picture of your favorite athlete in the 2008 Olympics and write one sentence explaining why they are your favorite. Be sure to put effort into your drawing and color it. (Due: 5/26/14)
