Introduction
You will be a reporter for the day for a newspaper. The countires you will report about are China, Japan, North Korea, and South Korea. You will create an article that covers your country's government, economic and social characteristics. You will then share you article with the class.
Task
You will be split up into groups of four to research you given country's government, economic, and social characteristics. Then you will create an article for the newpaper. Finally you will share your aricle with the class.
The role of each meber of the four members is listed below.
Role 1: Research your countires government.
This website can help you find the answer to questions about the government and social characteristics of your country. InfoPlease!
Role 2: one member will research the cultural/social characteristics of your country. This should include information about the ethnic groups, religions, culture, and languages of your country.
Role 3: One member will research the economic status of your country. The information should include the economic type, GDP, major industries/resources, ranking in world

Role 4: the last member will take the information from the members of role 1,2 and 3 and create the article. Then everyone will proofread the article and make any corrections.
You will create your atricle with the Newspaper Generator. After you have generated your article you will download your image by clicking the link under the picture. After that you will upload your image to your google drive and share it with your teacher.
Process
Step 1: Your group will be assigned a country. (China, Japan, North Korea, or South Korea)
Step 2: You will decied who will complete each role in your group.
Step 3: Once your roles have been decied you will begin your research on your country. Be sure to write down your information and share it will the person you will be creating the article.
Step 4: Create the article to explain the government, economic, and social characteristics of your country. Download the image to your Chromebook and then upload and share in your Google Drive.
Step 5: Present your information to your classmates.
Evaluation
Your group's evlauation will include three different parts.
-How well you worked as a group- 20 points
-The acuracy and completeness of your resarch- 50 points
-The presentation- 30 points
Conclusion
After you have completed your article you will present it to your classmates. They will then take the information you have presented to complete a handout. The handout will be used to help you study later in the unit.
