Lesson Title: HOW TO BAKE A CHIFFON CAKE
Objective: Students will be able to bake a chiffon cake
Time Frame: 55 to 60 minutes
Materials:
Meringue
5 pcs Egg Whites
1/2 tsp or 2 g Cream of Tartar
10 tbsp or 125 g White Sugar
Batter
5pcs. Egg Yolks
1/2 cup or 75 g Vegetable Oil
1/2cup + 1tbsp or 108 g White Sugar
1/2 tsp or 3 g Salt
3 tbsp or 45 g Water
1/2 tsp or 10 g Vanilla
1 and 1/4 cup or 160 g Sifted Cake Flour
1/2 tsp or 2.5 g Baking Powder
Activities:
Students will visit the website to gain information about baking chiffon cake.
Students will watch the video to gain insight into baking.
Students will bake a chiffon cake throughout the lesson.
Lastly, the student will send a video and picture of their baked cake
Assessment:
Their colleague will taste and check the Appearance, Taste Color and Texture of the baked chiffon cake.
