Introduction
Hey kids! Today we're going to test your knowledge on multiplication and division! We're going to play a game called Around the World With Math!
Task
To get the students more familiar with multiplication and division and get them to figure out the answer more quickly.
Process
Review briefly with students about multiplication and division. Tell students the rules for "Around the World." First student will stand next to the next student. Instructor will show them a notecard with a multiplication or division problem on it. First student to shout the correct answer will advance on to the next student. Process continues around the classroom "around the world" and can repeat around more than once.
Evaluation
Instructor can keep score on how many times a student advances if desired and they can receive a small reward for winning.
Conclusion
Ask the students why they think you had them play they game.
Ask the students if they feel more comfortable with their multiplication and division.
