Poetry Types

Introduction

There are many famous poets of our past, present, and future, all with different types of poems that they write, showing there are also many forms of poems.  

Task

TASK 1

REMEMBER TO WRITE OR TYPE THIS ALL DOWN SOMEWHERE TO TURN IN

In this task you will choose and define the different types of poetry

TASK 2

In this task you will learn to write your 15 types of poetry

TASK 3

In this task you will learn the origin of your types of poetry

TASK 4

In this task you will choose a poem for each 15 types of poetry

TASK 5 

In this task you will write an ORIGINAL poem for 10 of the 15 types of poetry you chose.

Process

TASK 1

To get 15 types of poetry go to:

  http://www.poemofquotes.com/articles/poetry_forms.php

Then look up the definitions (if you need to) of your types of poetry and define them in YOUR own words

TASK 2 

Go to the google search engine and enter: How to write a (One of your types of poetry)

TASK 3

Go to the google search engine and enter: Origin of (One of your types of poetry)

TASK 4

Look up any poem for your types of poetry. You can find this in a book, the internet anywhere but you must cite it.

TASK 5

Use your Creativity and write up 10 poems, each from a different kind of poetry you have researched.

Now go to the conclusion to findout how to maka the booklet.

To Create the Booklet:

  • Front cover with period, name and date
  • Table of contents
  • List the types of poems you chose
  • 15 types of poems with definitions and examples
  • Poem pages with short summaries of their origin
  • 10 poems created by you, drafted, revised, edited and ready for publication and grading
  • REVIEW the Poetry Rubric under EVALUATION so you make sure ALL the requirements of your booklet earn the grade you want!
