Creating a Conceptual Map

Introduction

In this activity, students are going to build a conceptual map using the mind map from the previous activity. This conceptual map is going to allow students to organize the information better and also to improve their understaning regarding Globalization and Communication.

Task

Using the previous min map, you will have to create a Conceptual map following the next steps:

1.- Form a group

2.- Provide all the ideas and key concepts from the previous activity

3.- Start creating the Conceptual map by using the information you got.

4.- Show it to the rest of the class an the teacher

5.- Save a copy and send it to the teacher

Process

To create the Conceptual Map, follow the next steps:

1.- Open Microsoft Word and give a title for the Conceptual Map

2.- Start building the map by using ideas and key concepts from the previous activity

3.- Provide examples that are connected and related to the topic

4.- Number each even regarding the audio about Globalization and Communication

5.- Conclude the topic by summarizing the main ideas.

6.- Present your maps to your classmates and your teacher.

Conclusion

Through this activity, students are going to develop their capacity of summarizing ideas and retaining information, in order to build a Conceptual map which is going to be prresented to the class. students are going to practice how to organize information and also their tolerance to work in groups, sharing ideas and differents ways of working.
