Hello Class
Today your assignment will be to listen and read "Hannah's Tradition" and complete activities in this WebQuest.
The best part, you can listen to the story as many times as you choose.
You will have three assignments to complete. In the third assignment, you will interview your parent/guardian about traditions in your family and as a group present a report to your classmates.
Task
1. Whole group instruction: Read the instruction
2. Making Prediction: Read the title and look at the pictures on the cover of the book "Hannahs's Traditions" and write a sentence on what you think the story is about. for example, I think the story is about
3. You will have to complete three assignments for this WebQuest.
- Vocabulary assignment: looking up words from Hannah's Tradition
- Use a smartphone to Interview a parent/guardian about family traditions and celebrations.
- Write a report summarizing the interview and present it to our class within a group of 3

As in the previous lessons we used, you will use the website https://www.vocabulary.com to look up definitions.
Remember: to type the word in the box at the top of the page, copy and paste the definition.
When defining with seven-word, you will save and print your documents.
Assignment 2:
Use the questions below to interview the parent/guardian. Use a smartphone to Interview a parent/guardian about family traditions and celebrations. You will use a smartphone to record and upload the recorded interview to WebQuest.
Interview Questions:

2. When and where were you born?
3. What language do you speak? and how many
4. How do you feel about traditions?
5. Do your family has unique traditions?
6. Are traditions important in your culture?
7. Are there important traditions in your family or community?
Some Android™ devices, like the Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G, come with a voice recording app pre-installed. Hit the red record button when you want to start the recording, and then once again to stop it. From here, you can hit the button again to continue recording or save the file to your recording archive.
iPhone, iPhone recorder apps only work because they utilize 3-way conference calls, either incoming or outgoing. Or Tap the "Start Recorded Call" option. Tap on the "Incoming Call" option. Call Rev's recorder when prompted. Once that call connects, tap "Merge Calls" to start recording.
