Introduction
In this webquest we will be comparing the two stories The Powwow poem and My Favorite chaperone. Why they were written and how they relate to cultural belonging.
Task
Create a webquest that includes an author's purpose for the selections Powwow poem and My Favorite Chaperone. We must discuss how both authors connect theme- cultural/ belonging (cite and make reflections). Include and explain figurative language utilized in both selections. Create images to represent both author's message.
Process
For the process we (Ayana and I) will re-read both selections Powwow poem and My Favorite Chaperone. After we analyzed the story we will take out all the figurative language and compare them to each other. Not only will we compare the figurative language but we will compare the moral of the story and see how they are similar and different. We will approach this by the chart method in order to have our information be organized.
Evaluation
In this evaluation we concluded the in the two selections The Powwow poem and My favorite chaperone both incorporated the topic of cultural belonging. In there prospective they thought that it appropriate to absorb the people from different culture.
Conclusion
In conclusion the passages include cultural belonging which means no matter where you come from your peers should make you feel comfortable in your new surroundings. Both the poem and the story include people who come from a different places and are uncomfortable and at a certain event causes them to lighten up and feel better in their new habitat.
