Introduction

Throughout our 3rd Grade unit over culture, we have been exploring our own cultures, as well as other cultures around the world. Now it is time for one final overview before you create your own project that is all about your own cultural identity.

Task

Your task is to create a project expressing your own cultural identity. You may include any information you would like, but it must include at least the following information:

1. Your full name and where you were born

2. An illustration or picture of your family

3. Important traditions and holidays you participate in

4. Your favorite types of food to eat

5. 3-5 words you would use to describe yourself

6. A family story or important memory

Process

1. Watch the following videos about culture:

2. Visit the following website and click on the "Kids" button. Spend 10 minutes exploring other cultures and playing some of the games.

3. Now it's time to create your project. You will use a poster board distributed by your teacher to create your project. Your teacher will provide you with the instructions for creating your project on a separate sheet. Have fun!
