What is Cyberbullying?

  • Cyberbullying is bullying with the use of digital technologies. It can take place on social media, messaging platforms, gaming platforms and mobile phones.

Examples of Cyberbullying 

  • spreading lies about or posting embarrassing photos of someone on social media
  • sending hurtful messages or threats via messaging platforms
  • impersonating someone and sending mean messages to others on their behalf. 

Solutions  

  • We need to be thoughtful about what we share or say that may hurt others.
  • Protect your accounts. Don’t share your passwords with anyone – even your closest friends, who may not be close forever – and password-protect your phone so no one can use it to impersonate you. 
  • Report cyber bullying,

Conclusion

Cyberbullying It’s not something that can be “downloaded” or taught. We grow it through exposure to challenges and figuring out how to deal with it, sometimes unknowingly you can be a Cyberbullying, but due to ignorance we tend to turn a blind. 

So let’s create awareness on the issue and try to identify anyone who might be a  victim and help them
