Introduction
Dear students,
My name is Ms.Conrad and i will be teaching you how to add decimals. You may think that adding decimals are hard, but this will actuually turn out to be a very fun preoject. First, we will start off by by doing a step-by-stp process on how to solve the problem. After you have gotten the concept of adding decimals, I will give you a few math prblems to work on. Finally, when you finish the problems I will grade you. i hope this webquest will teach you how to add decimals and have a better understanding on how to solve them

Task
What I will want you to do later on is a few problems. They may be hard at first, but in the end it will be pretty simple.
Process
First I want you to write the following on a piece of lined paper:
- 1.20+2.30
- 2.15+3.10
- 5.02+6.3
Now i bet your wondering "how do I do this?", or "this looks hard", but trust it will be very easy. Now what I want you to do is put your number problem on your piece of paper as shown below:
1.20 2.15 5.02
+2.30 +3.10 6.3
Next, I want you to look at the first problem and see what two numbers are in the ones column, which are 0 and 0. Now, I want you to figure out what 0+0 is then write your answer under the ones column. The, you go to the tens column. As you can see there is a 2 and a 5. I want you to do the same thing with these two numbers. And finally, Add the tens column. Now What you want to do is bring your decimal down. Your answer should look like this:
1.20
+2.30
3.50
I want you to do the same to the next two problems. These should be your answers:
2.15 5.02
+3.10 +6.3
5.25 11.32
(If you did not get an answer correct you may have added incorrectly.)
