Descriptive text is a text that explains about whether a person or an object is like, whether its form, its properties, its amount and others. The purpose of the descriptive text is clear, that is to describe, represent or reveal a person or an object, either abstract or concrete. The purpose of a descriptive essay is also to inform the reader on a particular topic, event, or experience.

Step 1: SELECT A TOPIC
A good starting point for many students is to ask them to write about something that is very personal to them.
Step 2 : WRITE A THESIS STATEMENT
The thesis statement lays out the specific purpose of the text and usually it is embedded in the introductory paragraph.
Step 3 : EVOKE THE SUBJECT’S ESSENCE
Encourage students to employ literary devices such as simile, metaphor, and personification to bring their sensory descriptions to life. This can also be a great opportunity to reinforce student understanding of the various literary devices themselves.
Step 4 : CREATE AN OUTLINE
Students have selected an engaging topic, produced a solid thesis statement, and gathered together lots of relevant sensory detail, you’ll need to create a clear outline to organize and inform the writing process.
Step 5 : WRITE

Step 6 : REDRAFT, EDIT, PROOFREAD
On the first run-through, students should look at structural issues to ensure the descriptive text is well-organized,On the second run-through, students should examine the sentences that comprise the paragraphs, On the third and final run-through, students should check word choice, spelling, and punctuation.
Step 7 : CREATE THE VIDEO
Create a video based on the descriptive text you have created. Be sure to have good video quality. Then upload (text and video links) on Google Classroom in one week.
