A Dolphin Adventure

Introduction

 

Dolphins are highly intelligent marine mammals. They are found worldwide, mostly in shallow seas of the continental shelves. Dolphins are carnivores, and mostly eat fish and squid. get ready to discover more information about one of the most intelligent animals we know.

Task

Welcome to an underwater adventure, In this journey we are going to become familiar with the life of a dolphin and the needs dolphins have I order to survive. Put on your swim gear, and get ready to discover the many corners of the ocean floors. 

You and your team are going on an underwater exploration on a search from different types of dolphins. On your exploration you are going to investigate the following questions: What type of habitats do they live in or need?  How they communicate? What do they eat? And finally, Why are they considered one of the smartest to be the smartest mammals of the sea? You and your team will be creating a poster to explain the different parts of the questions.

Teams will be set up into groups of four students, each student will be in charge of a specific task. 

Team needs to decide what type of Dolphin they are doing to research, in order to find the information needs to create their posters.

Student can print and use pictures, photographs, maps, charts etc. to display their information

Teacher will have materials available for the posters, supplies such as markers, crayons, scissors, glue.

Students will present as a group the rest of the class .

Roles include : Researcher- this is the person who will navigate the internet and look for the information you need.

Illustrator- this is the person who will create or print out pictures of dolphins for he poster. 

Writer: This person will be writing down the answers to the questions that need to answered. 

Group leader- This person will assist everyone when needed and will present the information learned.
