Task
At the end of this lesson students should be able to:
- explain each type of computer-related health problems
- correctly define the concept of ergonomics
- list at least three methods to prevent or reduce each time of computer-related health.
- list at least three computer-related health problems
Process
Step 1
Students will view a digital storytelling comic strip which will highlight different types of computer-related health issues as the introductory exercise. This will appeal greatly to the different types of learners; the visual learners will benefit from seeing the projection of the comic strips and the audio learners from hearing them as they are read by two of their assigned classmates.
Step 2
Students will be engaged in a group discussion about what was highlighted in the comic strip, identifying the main points.
Step 3
For the transition, the teacher will engage the students in a discussion about the different types of computer related health issue, writing each type of health problem on the board as they arise; this will appeal to the visual and the audio learners as they will be able to see and hear key points respectively.
Step 4
Students will view PowerPoint highlighting information about each type of health issues, measures to reduce the related issue and explain the concept of ergonomics, which will be greatly beneficial to both the visual and auditory learners as they will be able to view and listen to each type as they read and discussed.
Step 5
Students will then view a demonstration on proper ergonomic practices and will be provided with a detailed image showing the demonstrated ergonomic practices, as the demonstration is done, the teacher will explain the importance of each practice.
Step 6
Each student will be provided with an image showing the practices, yet again appealing to the visual learners.
The lesson will be concluded with an interactive PowerPoint in the form of Jeopardy which will test students’ knowledge on computer-related health issues; this activity will be done in groups. The use of groups will reinforce cooperative skills and allow students to relay on each other’s knowledge.
Evaluation
The importance of this evaluation ,is to see if students had grasped the content that was taught to them. A interactive jeopardy game will be used to evaluate the students.

This Web-quest is about ergonomicst,it is designed to meet the objectives of ergonomicss. In the completion of this Web quest in a classroom setting, it would require at least one hour for it to be completed effectively. The advise that i would give to teachers and other educators, who are interesting to use Web Quests in the classroom, is that it is a good idea and it may be a little time consuming but it is worth it. It is so because it enhances the lesson, Web quest increases students participation and motivation, and when students are motivated they are likely to put more effort in the lesson, and their minds are more alert and ready to make connections.
