Conclusion

It is imperative that we strive for an open-mind on varying schools of thoughts when it comes to literature. In allowing ourselves to be exposed to them, we also allow ourselves to recognize the reflection of reality through world of storytelling. We recognize the pertinent issues that are still alive and still cost us a conservatively harmful viewpoints. And then we recognize our power to change the cycle of oppression that comes with inequality throughout varying classes. To end this, in the words of Maya Angelou, “The truth is, no one of us can be free until everybody is free.
