First Grade: Will Mr. Wolf Go to Jail?

Introduction

You are a team of detectives deciding if Mr. Wolf from the three little pigs should go to jail.

The group will have a recorder, an organizer, and a head detective.

Recorder:  Writes all information in the detective packet.

Organizer: Collects and turns in the packet.

Head Detective: Makes sure all directions are followed.

Task

As detectives, you must listen to both sides of the story, take notes, compare notes, and come to a final decision.

You will follow all directions at each step to compile evidence.

In the end, you will individually write your opinion if Mr. Wolf should go to jail. 

Take your time working together and have fun!

Process

1: Open your packet to page one and write everything you know about the 3 little pigs.

2: Listen to the story of the three little pigs.

3: Fill out the flow chart to re-tell the story on page two.

4: Answer the questions on page three.

5: Now it is time to make your first decision if your group believes Mr. Wolf should go to jail or not and why. Write this on page four.

6: We have heard the pigs' side of the story, we must now hear from the Fox. Please listen to His side of the story. 

7: Fill out the flow chart to re-tell the story on page five.

8: Answer the questions on page six.

9: Complete the Venn diagram to compare the two stories on page seven.

10: Now it's time to make our final decision on if Mr. Wolf should go to jail or not and why. Write this on your own on the provided page.
