Global Entrepreneurs

Introduction

Too often we hear news sharing what is bad and wrong with the world.  We hear about the devastating effects of climate change, endangered species, and disease.  Far less often, we are being informed of the good.  However, global change is happening all around us!

A few local businesses will be visiting our school to talk to YOU about the challenges they had to overcome in order to open their business and their dedication to making their communities better.  Please use this Webquest to help you prepare for their visits and learn more about some programs that started right here in Rhode Island!

Task

Your assignment is to create a newsletter for your business.

Your newsletter must:

  • Be one-page long
  • Explain what your business does
  • Include information about your SDG
  • Be interesting to look at
Process
  1. Students will go to the links provided and read the information other businesses provided on their websites.
  2. Students will take notes on Think Sheets as to what they will want to include in their own newsletters.
  3. Students will then open a GoogleDoc and begin to create their newsletters.
