Is going for a run always safe?

Introduction

According to the European Commission, gender-based violence is violence directed against a person because of that person's gender or violence that affects persons of a particular gender disproportionately.

Violence against women has been widely talked about, and awareness has been spread because it's high incidence rates, and it's consequences, that have resulted, among others in:

Physical harm,
Sexual harm,
Psychological harm,
Economic harm

The worst cases even result in femicides, turning the matter into a really serious one that needs to be addressed from every environment and institution, being able to help if needed.

  1. Can you describe the girl and the boy´s attitudes from what you observed in the video?

  1. What seemingly ‘small gestures’ do you think can be violent in the character’s attitude?

  1.  Has this ever happened to you before? Have you been offered help?

Now, we invite you to read through this article, which presents ways in which you can help a person undergoing a gender-based violence situation. Grab some ideas from here to design your own protocol. Remember that it has to be appliable to the context of the University.
