Grade 5 - Major Systems of the Human Body

Introduction

Did you know that there is any between 60,000-100,000 miles of blood vessels in the human body? Or more than half your bones are located in your hands, feet, wrist and ankles? The human body is amazing!

Welcome to the Human Body! In this Webquest, you will be exploring one of the major systems in the human body and learn how our bodies function.

Task

In this Webquest, you will be researching a major system in the human body. Students will be split up into groups of 4. Each group will be given a system of the body to research. Once you have completed all of your research on the body system, your job is to create a model of your body system, as well as create a Google Slides presentation and present your information to the class. The research you find must be interesting as well as informative. It must describe the system and its function. Your Google Slides presentation may include pictures and videos.

Process

Step 1

1. Teacher will assign students into groups and give them the system of the body they are going to research

2. Groups will have 3 working periods to complete their research. Below is a list of resources to help you get started and a video to help you make your human body model
