Grammar : Present Continuous Tense

Introduction

All the materials based on your background. You are going to work with your friends and make 4 paragraph which is systematically written and easily understood by the other students, and you will do an exercises which the verbs are wrong. These activities are designed for Senior High School, and hope the students can do it easily  which the students have learned it before in Junior High School.

 

 

 

 

Task

You are asked to fix the wrong verb of 4 paragraph that given of your teacher, and make 4 paragraph again based on your opinion, which is using Present Continuous Tense.

Process

Before you begin, try to imagine a sentence based on your opinion, after getting the idea, start making 4 paragraph in using Present Continuous Tense, and exchange it with your friends. after that, you have to find the wrong verb of your friends job.

*Fill the correct verb and fix the wrong verb of the sentence in using Present Continuous Tense!

Today, Chiya....... visiting her grandparents. She loves cooking with her grandmother. Her grandma usually teaches her how to cook delicious dishes. At this moment, Chiya........ learning how to make tasty chicken soup. 

Chiya are helping to cut some onions, chilies, carrots, potatoes and other vegetables. She is also writing her grandmother’s recipe. She plans to make chicken soup at home next Monday. She is making the chicken soup for her mother. Next Monday is her mother’s birthday.

An hour later, Chiya and grandparents have finished eating chicken soup. Now, Chiya was listening to her grandfather’s story. Chiya also loves listening to her grandpa’s story.

Her gandpa has many stories about life, joke, culture and many more. Now, Chiya with grandmother....... listening to one story of The Arabian Nights (1001 nights). They’re enjoying their time together.

Exercise II

*Make a story based of your imagination which is 4 paragraph and exchange it into your friends, and your friends should correct the wrong verb!

Conclusion

You will write a well-organized, well-supported paragraph about your imagination. Be sure to include a topic sentence, supporting details, and a conclusion.
