Working individually or in a group, you will:

Identify at least five basic human rights.

Research a real-life situation involving human rights.

Present your work to the class and explain how people can protect and respect human rights.

Step 1: Explore
Research the following questions:

Who is entitled to human rights?
What are examples of basic human rights?
What is the relationship between rights and responsibilities?
Step 2: Investigate
Use reliable sources such as government websites, educational websites, and organizations that promote human rights.
Research at least five human rights, such as:
Right to life
Right to education
Freedom of expression
Right to equality
Right to privacy
Freedom of religion
Right to participate in government
For each right, identify a corresponding responsibility.
