  • Four (4) men are in a room: a priest, a lord, a mercenary (soldier for hire), and a merchant (rich man). The lord looks at the mercenary and tells him,"arrest these men, sir, because I am your lawful ruler". The mercenary moves to arrest the other men when the priest cries out, " Nay, good sir, you should arrest everyone but me, for I can give you god's blessing and he will reward you!". The mercenary stops and considers, just as the merchant speaks up, "My friend,  if you spare me and arrest the other men, I will give you all of my gold."
