Conclusion
ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ
Your attempted cure judging by your work does indeed succeed, but only working on some people. Others fell ill to the plague, but a lot less of your fellow villagers fell because of the plague, and your family managed to survive because of it. Good job! All that is needed now is to manufacture and produce it far and wide... unfortunately, the cure is expensive and you could only make enough of it to save your village. At the very least, you tried.
