Introduction
Imagine leaving your home, friends, and everything you know to begin a new life in another country. Every year, families around the world make this difficult decision for many different reasons. Some are looking for better jobs or educational opportunities, while others are escaping war, violence, or natural disasters. In this WebQuest, you will become an immigration investigator and learn about the experiences of immigrants from different backgrounds. By exploring their stories, you will discover how immigration has shaped the United States and how immigrants continue to strengthen our communities today.
Task
Your mission is to become an expert on one immigrant family's journey. You will work with a partner to research where the family came from, why they immigrated, the challenges they faced, and the contributions they made to their new community. After completing your research, you will create a Google Slides presentation or digital poster that teaches others about your family's story and explains why immigration is an important part of American history.
