CREATE AN INSECT WEBQUEST

Introduction

Insects can be found everywhere in the world (except Antiartica)! Gardens are a great place for insects to make their homes. Can you imagine how many insects you would find in a garden?

Task

You and a friend are Entomologists working in the garden. Imagine that you just discovered a brand new bug never seen before! You will investigate this bug and share your information with the class.

Step 1

Use the following insect websites to investigate and give information about your mysterious insect:

Task 2

You and your partner will determine your mystery bug's name, physical characteristics, habitat, diet, life cycle, and whether your insect is helpful or harmful to people and their gardens. Please use your Mystery Bug Planning Book to plan your insect.

Task 3

As a group you will create a bug using materials from inside the insect box in the writing center.

Task 4

Both of you will have to present the bug and share all your mysterious bug information with the class

Conclusion
