Introduction
The lesson focus for this webquest is Mes Passe-Temps, translated My Hobbies. The focus will be on different activities that persons do for fun and relaxation and the use of the verb aimer-to like to say which activity an individual enjoys doing. Students will be responding the the question,"Qu'est-ce que tu aimes faire?". They may respond by saying, J'aime (whatever the activity is).
In this lesson, students will also learn to construct sentences with the verb. They will follow the trend in the question, where the verb which comes after faire remains in the infinitive; for example, 'J'aime lire' or 'Tu aimes danser'.
The students will enjoy speaking about their hobbies as it appeals to their individual interests.
Task
Les Passe-Temps
This is an expression which means hobbies or literally pass time activities. It is important to know things ike this in another language so that if we meet someone from France or any other French speaking country, you may be able to talk about almost anything.
If a french person would like to find out what your hobbies are, they will ask, "Qu'est-ce que tu aimes faire? which means what do you like to do.
In order to express like in French, we use the verb aimer.

Examples of hobbies in French include lire- to read
danser- to dance, chanter- to sing, jouer au football- to play football, nager- to swim.
Students should be able to use these words appropriately to express themselves and should be able to use the verb aimer to state what they like to do.
Process
Students will view a PowerPoint presentation and listen to a recording with the different activities. They will need to log on to the wiki, http://vidadelainteligente.wikispaces.com and to listen the Podcast on,https://www.podomatic.com/podcasts/danekarussellpodcast/episodes/2017-05-12T19_54_52-07_00
They will also view a video depicting the different activities and then they will be required to speak about themselves. They may talk about their favourite things to do as well as what different members of their family like to do.
They will be given a word search activity to find the words they learned from the lesson.
Evaluation
The students will be required to write a short paragraph about themselves, highlighting their hobbies and the hobbies of the different members of their family, appropriately using the verb "aimer" and the expressions they learned.
